After a 29 hour trip everybody was still a bit sleepy on our very first full Australian day!
Meeting time in the hostel was 10:00am because we had to make to the sky tower until 10:30am, obviously not everyone was punctual. When the last students arrived at 10:10am we had 20 more minutes to get to one of Sydney’s most famous sights: The Sydney Sky Tower. Even though most of us were still quite tired we managed to get there on time, yet we couldn’t go on to the skywalk because we would have been there 45 minutes before the tour started. Since our day already was quite busy, we had to reschedule it to the next day. Anyways we went onto the observation deck where we had a great view over Sydney.
After that we went to grab some food in small groups and explored Sydney’s center a bit more. We met again at 2pm to go on a guided tour through Sydney. After we had some problems finding our guide we finally started at 2:15 pm firstly off to the Hyde park. Then we arrived in the harbor and saw the Sydney Opera house as close as never before! From the harbor we went into the rocks to and to a precious lookout where our guided tour ended. Since we haven’t seen enough of Sydney, yet we caught a ferry to get to another lookout and went to a Thai restaurant afterwards. After having a beautiful dinner we had an even more beautiful walk on the Harbor Bridge where we could see all of Sydney at night. All in all we had a very busy, exhausting, yet beautiful and stunning day in Sydney, Australia!
